The 996 GT3 track focused model was introduced in 1999 and ran until 2005. The engine very much set it apart from most Porsche 996 models, although it shared the same basic design of the standard "integrated dry sump" flat-six engine. The naturally aspirated engine was based on the unit used in the Porsche 962 and 911 GT1 race cars. The engine uses the versatile dry-sump crankcase with an external oil reservoir and remained naturally aspirated. The GT3 manages a 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds and a quarter mile time of 12.0 seconds at 118 miles per hour.

CONDITION REPORT:
Fully Original. Mechanically maintained but cosmetically just acceptable. The paint is "fair" but interior and exterior trims have obvious dis-coloration, blemishes and damage due to aging. The car is in need of a deep cleanse and full cosmetic restoration for any discerning buyers. The alloy wheels are restored and in good condition and shod with fresh tires. The Interior is original, equipped with 2-way electrical leather sports seat, many plastic trims are worn and recommend restoring and replacing. Air Condition is restored and in a good working condition at the moment. Service records from Jebsen and Gemballa shows that the car has been mechanically maintained throughout the years.
