First offered in 1967 as a stylized standalone roll bar, Porsche's Targa soon became an institution with airy fixed rear glass completing the 911 silhouette. After decades of iteration, the manufacturer’s 991-generation Targa reintroduced the semi-roofless tradition closest in spirit to the model’s original design. In 2020, Porsche's 992-generation arrived and again became the best of the outgoing model plus the latest and greatest under the sun. A truly modern sports car, 992 Targa 4's hallmarks of all-wheel-drive, staggered 20” front/21” rear wheels, 3.0L twin-turbocharged flat-six's output still paired seamlessly with Targa's now wondrous sub-20 second power-retractable configuration.
