Announced to the world in 2011, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Aston Martin and Italian coach-builder, Zagato’s historic partnership in creating the DB4GT Zagato. The V12 Zagato delivers a unique combination of race-proven handling and performance, rarity and fastidious attention to details both inside and out. It is destined to be one of the most highly coveted models in the marque’s history.
At its launch, the V12 Zagato scooped the prestigious accolade of best design of a concept car and prototype at the Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza and has gone on to being recognised as one of the most successful Aston Martin and Zagato collaborations.
Elegant, yet brutal, the V12 Zagato is a forward thinking Zagato which respects the past. Clothed in lightweight hand-rolled aluminium and carbon fibre body panels which involved 2,000 hours of craftsmanship for each car. The sculpted aluminium ‘double bubble’ roof and bulging haunches, both Zagato hallmarks, along with the stunning ‘Z’ pattern front grille all leave you in no doubt that this is a Zagato, while the rear wing, diffuser and splitter, all formed from carbon fibre, give the car a purposeful and menacing appearance.
The V12 Zagato is built upon the highly respected V12 Vantage platform with 510bhp / 570 NM of torque coming from the 6.0 litre V12 Engine, mated, to the delight of ‘drivers’, to a 6-speed manual gearbox. With a lighter weight, courtesy of its smaller frame and use of weight saving materials, means the V12 Zagato is as fast as it looks. It has proven its sporting credentials at the Nurburgring, where two endurance racing version (Zig Green and Zag Red) finished fifth and sixth overall in the annual 24 Hours race on the challenging German circuit.
In total, just 65 production V12 Zagato were built and many of which now form part of the most important collections, around the globe.
This striking 1 of 18 Right Hand Drive example we are offering, is the only V12 Zagato finished in Zig Green, a specially ordered colour to match the Zig Green Nurburgring Race Car. The car is highly complimented by Zagato styled black hides interior with unique contrasting green stitching. Zagato 19" gloss black wheels, carbon fibre A-pillars and door mirrors, black textured tailpipe finishers and Black brake calipers are finishing touches to this eye popping specification. Notable interior specification options include Carbon Fibre lightweight seats, carbon fibre facia and door pulls and Bang & Olufsen 1000 watt audio.

BACKGROUND AND HISTORY:
The Aston Martin V12 Zagato was released in 2011 to mark the 50th anniversary of the iconic Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato. Imagined by Aston Martin world leading design team and hand built by expert craftsmen, V12 Zagato finalised a limited production run in 2012.
It was presented as a 'natural successor' to the Zagato Aston Martins of the past, V12 Zagato was developed using a combination of the latest computer-aided modelling techniques and the time-honoured method of hand-sculpted clay maquettes to combine traditional styling cues from Aston Martin and Zagato into one cohesive shape.
Sharing its mechanical components with the V12 Vantage, an All-alloy engine, quad overhead camshaft, 48-valve, 5935 cc V12 and 510 bhp, the new Zagato was clad in a hand-crafted aluminium and carbon skin featuring elements seen on previous cars from the Milanese carrozzeria like the 'double-buble' roof and short body overhangs.
Unveiled at the prestigiouos Villa d'Este Concours in May 2011, the V12 Zagato was awarded the Concorso d'Eleganza trophy, and then proved its sporting credentials at the Nurburgring, where two endurance racing version finished fifth and sixth overall in the annual 24 Hours race on the challenging German circuit.
